I am really down and don't no what to do?

I am a male and jest turned 50.I am single and live alone.I am a shy country boy and really sick of being alone and sick of my live.I work at a job I don't like and have no friends.How do you meet new people and how do I stop feeling so down?I still think a man should treat a lady like a lady,but I see that the men hear treat lady's like there slaves.What is a lady looking for and how does a shy country boy meet a nice girl??
